Forum AWO Indonesia had the opportunity to provide Welfare Training and Cattle Handling Practices at the Corporate Cattle Village (DKS) facility.

In March 2023, the AWO Indonesia Forum, in collaboration with the SC2VP team from ISPI, carried out a joint project called Animal Welfare Training and Cattle Handling Practices. This training was conducted in the group of farmers of DKS facilities used Brahman Cross breeding cattle from Australia, with 4 DKS facility locations: Cianjur (West Java), Kediri (East Java), Sidenreng Rappang (South Sulawesi), and North Penajam Paser (East Kalimantan). In this training, the AWO Indonesia Forum was divided into 4 teams assigned to each of the 4 locations. The FAWO team would provide materials on Animal Welfare, Cattle Handling Practices, and facility evaluation, accompanied by the SC2VP team from each DKS facility location.

1. Cianjur, West Java: The training in Cianjur took place from March 9th to 11th, 2023, with the FAWO team consisting of Fadillah Zulhij Zen and Denis Febta. In this training, Denis Febta delivered a presentation on Animal Welfare, while Fadillah provided cattle handling training. The training had a total of 30 participants. After completing the materials on Animal Welfare and Cattle Handling Practices, Denis and Fadillah proceeded to evaluate the facilities at each DKS facility location in Cianjur, West Java.
2. Kediri, East Java: The training in Kediri took place from March 9th to 11th, 2023, with the FAWO team consisting of Mujiono and Drh. Ismau Alim. In this training, Drh. Ismau Alim delivered a presentation on Animal Welfare, while Mujiono provided cattle handling training. The training had a total of 32 participants. After completing the materials on Animal Welfare and Cattle Handling Practices, Drh. Ismau Alim and Mujiono proceeded to evaluate the facilities at each DKS facility location in Kediri, East Java.
3. Sidenreng Rappang, South Sulawesi: The training in Sidrap took place from March 13th to 16th, 2023, with the FAWO team consisting of Drh. Neny Santy Jelita Lumbantoruan and Deni Julianto. In this training, Drh. Neny delivered a presentation on Animal Welfare, while Deni Julianto provided cattle handling training. The training had a total of 34 participants. After completing the materials on Animal Welfare and Cattle Handling Practices, Drh. Neny Santy Jelita Lumbantoruan and Deni Julianto proceeded to evaluate the facilities at each DKS facility location in Sidrap, South Sulawesi.
4. North Penajam Paser (PPU), East Kalimantan: The training in PPU took place from March 13th to 16th, 2023, with the FAWO team consisting of Fachlevi Reyno Ajisaka and Teddy. In this training, Fachlevi Reyno delivered a presentation on Animal Welfare, while Teddy Hendrik provided cattle handling training. The training had a total of 40 participants. After completing the materials on Animal Welfare and Cattle Handling Practices, Fachlevi Reyno Ajisaka and Teddy Hendrik proceeded to evaluate the facilities at each DKS facility location in PPU, East Kalimantan.
