From September 20 to 22, 2023, Forum AWO Indonesia had the privilege of participating in the prestigious ILDEX Indonesia 2023 event. Hosted at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD Tangerang, the theme of the event was “The 6th International Livestock, Dairy, Meat Processing, and Aquaculture Exposition.” This gathering drew a diverse array of associations and companies from the agricultural sector, with a particular focus on livestock farming, representing both domestic and international interests.
For Forum AWO Indonesia, this event presented a unique opportunity to introduce itself and its ongoing programs to a broader audience. It marked a significant milestone as the organization’s inaugural participation in an expo dedicated to the livestock industry. The allocated exhibition booth was transformed into a visually captivating space, adorned with various decorations. These included banners on each booth partition, an eye-catching GAPUSPINDO cow sculpture, ESCAS (Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System) frames, carcass parts for educational purposes, and FAWO-branded attire.
One of the standout features of the booth was the display of five banners on each booth partition. These banners provided valuable information on Forum AWO Indonesia’s organizational structure, detailed insights into FAWO’s programs, compelling photographs capturing the organization’s activities, and a prominent banner featuring the GAPUSPINDO cow sculpture as a backdrop.
Forum AWO Indonesia was delighted to welcome a multitude of visitors to its booth during ILDEX Indonesia 2023. These visitors, numbering 73 individuals in total, represented a diverse cross-section of attendees. Among them were college students eager to learn about the livestock industry, industry professionals seeking insights, and individuals from various backgrounds expressing a keen interest in both FAWO and the Australian livestock industry’s presence in Indonesia.
Forum AWO Indonesia had an opportunity to conduct seminar
In addition to the booth, Forum AWO Indonesia was granted the privilege of conducting a seminar on the final day of the event, Friday, September 22, 2023. The seminar was skillfully delivered by Fachlevi Reyno, the Project Supervisor of Forum AWO Indonesia. It provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the organization’s mission and objectives.
The ILDEX Indonesia 2023 event provided Forum AWO Indonesia with a golden opportunity to introduce itself and its ongoing programs to a broader audience. This marked a momentous occasion as Forum AWO Indonesia made its debut in an expo dedicated to the livestock industry. At the core of Forum AWO Indonesia’s mission is education. The organization seized the opportunity at ILDEX 2023 to educate attendees about the significance of animal welfare. Through seminars and interactive sessions, Forum AWO Indonesia highlighted the humane handling of animals and five freedom of animal welfare. These educational initiatives aimed to instill a profound understanding of the ethical obligations tied to livestock management.
Forum AWO Indonesia actively promoted ethical practices within the livestock industry. By collaborating with industry stakeholders, government entities, and international organizations, the organization advocated for the implementation of guidelines and standards that prioritize animal welfare. It also played a pivotal role in raising awareness about the Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS) in Indonesia, which ensures the humane treatment of Australian livestock throughout their journey.
